Remember when there were soo much dead flies on Ms.Zupan's window ledge, well today I looked at mine and there are some as well! I started to do some research and I found this infos...Firstly, these fly are called Cluster flies. They enjoy resting near the windows because the sun's heat. They need this heat especially on days like today. They find the hidden carcass, lay eggs on it, the larvae (maggots) feed, the larvae enter the pupae (cocoon) stage and then eventually hatch out as adults (flies), appearing around windows in the same manner as cluster flies do (ewww). There are more info on these websites...http://www.the-piedpiper.co.uk/th6e.htmhttp://www.bugclinic.com/clusterfly.htmP.S EWWW these flies are soo gross!
